Walking What?

A special thanks to my friends at Walking Culture.

“WALKING CULTURE: 1900 KM ON FOOT

A JOURNEY THAT CROSSES FRONTIERS THROUGH 6 COUNTRIES: FRANCE, MONACO, ITALY, SLOVENIA, HUNGARY AND SLOVAKIA

JULY 19 is the set date. Walking Culture will begin a 1900 km walking expedition that connects the two 2013 European Cultural Capitals; Marseille (France) and Kosice (Slovakia)

This will be a sustainable journey on foot – expected to last from two to three months – with minimum environmental impact. They will be measuring the carbon footprint they leave en route and be charging their audiovisual equipment with solar power and kinetic energy.

Cultural elements – in any form of expression – will be highlighted in both large cities and more remote locations and the route will be marked digitally on GPS creating an itinerary for future travellers.”

A journey on foot is freedom to see the smallest details of great lands. Join Walking Culture and me on this journey. Free yourself and follow along the road less travelled:

I will be joining them on a parallel journey by train – an artistic endeavor and our interactions, images and experiences will be shared with you. See you here? or there?
